Weight loss and tachycardia, exophthalmos, and symmetric diffuse goiter. IgG antibodies to TSH receptor.
Preservation of the normal lobular architecture. Hyperplastic follicles are lined by tall columnar cells. Occasional follicles form papillary infoldings. Colloid is absent or pale. Stromal lymphoplasmocytic infiltrates and lymph follicles with germinal centers.
