Patient with gastric cancer in the family. Normal coloscopy. Gastroscopy with suspicion of villous atrophy. Ferritin decreased without anemia. The serum of the patient was positive for anti tissue transglutaminase (tTG).
Duodenal mucosa without or only minimal focal villous atrophy.Intraepithelial lymphocytosis (>40 CD3+ T-lymphocytes/ 100 enterocytes). Lymphoplasmacellular infiltration of the lamina propria.
Marsh classification: Type 1. A coeliac disease is possible, further examinations are necessary (serology, histology after gluten exposition) to make diagnosis.
