In the overview, fibrous tissue with formation of pseudocysts and remnants of thymic tissue can be seen. On higher magnification, few Hodgkin- and Reed-Sternberg-cells can be detected, accompanied by a mixed inflammatory infiltrate encompassing many eosinophilic granulocytes.
CD15 and CD30 stainings highlight the neoplastic cells.
