Type B3 and C thymoma

male
62 years old man with a mediastinal tumor (12cm).
Tumor with solid growth. Parts of the tumor are composed of epithelial cells with cytologic features of malignancy and absence of organotypic thymic features (Type C thymoma). Other parts of the tumor are composed of large epitheloid cells admixed with scant lymphocytes (Type B3 thymoma).
Type C thymoma resembles carcinoma at other sites. The diagnose requires demonstration of absence of tumor elswhere clinically and radiographically.
